Cotton bookbinding tape ~ unbleached ~ starched ~ 16mm wide ~ sold by the metre

Cotton tape such as this stiffened 16mm wide tape is used for bookbinding. It is also available in several widths ~ 10 ~ 13 ~ or ~ 19 ~ 25mm. 

This listing is for starched tape that is 16mm wide. The stiffening of the starch allows the tape to be handled more easily, especially if sewing without a frame. This tape is  slightly off-white or "natural".

Unstarched cotton tape ~ listed separately ~ has other uses such as ties for portfolios, or for bundling papers (as in a solicitor's office). All the tapes we sell are of acid-free quality.

Pricing is per metre, and carriage is extra. Very short sample lengths (<50cm) will travel as a Letter ~ greater lengths will require the Large Letter rate because of the thickness of a bundle.
