Cotton bookbinding tape ~ unbleached ~ starched ~ 13mm (½") wide ~ sold in 33 metre rolls
Cotton tape ~ starched ~13mm wide ~ priced per roll of 33m
Cotton tape such as this is used for bookbinding, and is available in several other widths ~ 10~16~19~25mm ~ and for modest quantities in lengths-by-the-metre ~ or rolls of 33m.
This listing is for unbleached starched tape that is 13mm wide. The stiffening of the starch allows the tape to be handled more easily, especially if sewing without a frame. This tape is slightly off-white or "natural".
The prices are for collect. Please add appropriate postage to your basket before checking out ~ otherwise we may have to cancel and refund your order. A length of one or two metres will travel ~ with creases ~ as a Letter ~ anything more will (by the time it is protectively wrapped) need to be a Large Letter. A roll of 13mm when packed without protection is a Large Letter and weighs 98gm ~ 1~1 or 2~1.
Unstarched cotton tape ~ listed separately ~ has other uses such as ties for portfolios, or for bundling papers (as in a solicitor's office). All the tapes we sell are of acid-free quality.
In the main picture we show tape being held in place by pink tape. If cutting short lengths from the roll ~ as in bookcrafts ~ we would suggest the slight inconvenience of sliding the stiffened tape through the pinks ~ this minor inconvenience may well save the major trouble of an unravelled roll (When dropped on the floor they can make great playthings for playful cats...)
