2 x 20 x 320mm leather strips

We stock these strips of leather for bookcraft use. They are useful as the hinging material for open-back books. Sewing is the same as codex style, and cover boards are attached in much the same way as the sections. 

This listing is for a thick leather (2mm), and a width that would suit a book or album of 20 to 30 cm height.The length, 32cm, will provide four "tapes" of 8cm or 6 of just over 5cm. The latter would not suit a thick booksince the leather would not have a firmly attached look. (Although it would, if properly glued, last the lifetime of the book.)
