Stripey brown batik dyed handmade paper

This handmade paper is available as whole ~ deckle-edged ~ sheets measuring approximately 50cm by 70cm. Three earthy-coloured dyed strips complement the natural brown of the underlying sheet.

We also sell these sheets in strips cut across the narrow width of the sheet ~ parallel to the shorter edge. We are following the mathematical tradition of x width first ~ y height second. The optional choices are for the y-height ~ all sheets are x=50cm in width. We usually cobble-cut the sheets by tearing with a blunt knife

Whole sheets are suitable for wrapping papers or for covering books or boxes. The strength of this paper is an advantage. The cut strips are intended for use as endpapers for books ~ the various cuttings will reduce postage costs. We are usually happy to cut to any other size without extra charge.

Our prices do not include postage ~ which can vary according to your needs. Whole flat sheets will cost a great deal because of the protective wrapping involved ~ and no guarantee that your chosen carrier's machinery will not scrunch that! Royal Mail is not competitive for the larger dimensions.

Cut sheets ~ especially if folded to your instruction ~ will fit into a Large Letter size. Sheets can always be rolled ~ if they will fit into a Small Parcel the postage is not too great ~ and will permit a reasonable weight of other goods to be sent ~ up to 2kg for Second Class postage.
